Tennessee Tales and Legends
Tennessee history...filled
with frontier heroes, creepy critters and spine-tingling stories.
Challenge your imagination with the historical happenings of the mysterious,
the curious, the fantastical and the just plain weird. Hear tall tales, seek
hidden treasure, go on a superstitious scavenger hunt, learn the mysterious
art of invisible ink and write your own
legendary tale.

History Camp
Embark on an adventure through
time, exploring 1,000 years of Tennessee history, from the ancient
Mississippian Indians to early frontier history and from the Overton family
through the Civil War. Experience creative projects such as gorget
making, fun outdoor activities - even the occasional flower bomb fight!

Docent Training & Leadership Camp
Go behind the scenes of
Nashville's oldest historic house museum and experience history from the
inside out! Whether teaching quill pens or portraying a historic
character, junior docents learn about interpretation, museum work,
preservation and leadership while also fostering a commitment to service.
Price includes one week of training, one week in leadership.

History's Mysteries Camp
Every museum harbors a
mystery...an unexpected artifact, a haunting tale or perhaps something far
more strange. Travel on an adventurous journey through some of
Nashville's most interesting museums. Gather clues on the hunt
to solve the mystery. History is full of mysteries waiting for
you...Join us and become your own history detective.

Arts Camp
Calling all creative kids!
Join us for a week of creativity with a little bit of history and a whole
lot of fun! Experience a variety of unique projects that teach both
art and history - wood block, candle dipping, silhouettes, tie-dying
and more! Art Gallery Showing of projects the last day for family and
friends!

Adventures in History Camp
Civil War Camp
The winter of 1864 brought two great armies to Travellers Rest to fight
the Battle of Nashville, a battle that would decide the outcome of the war
in Tennessee. Become a soldier and learn what life was like.
From drills to surgery, experience your own adventure! Free attendance
to our
Annual Encampment on Saturday, July24.

Travel back in time to when Nashville marked the western frontier and
bear and buffalo still roamed freely. Follow in the footsteps of famous
frontier heroes...Davy Crockett,
