

Historic Travellers Rest Plantation provides a state of the art venue for Nashville’s weddings, business meetings and special events. Our Plantation provides facilities for weddings, private parties and special events.
Outdoor events enjoy the intimate formal garden or the spacious feel of events that spread out across the naturally-beautiful historic grounds. While rental events do not take place in the historic house, house tours are always an option and are a nice addition for your guests.

Historic Travellers Rest offers three rental options for your needs.

Package 1. Barn, Garden and Grounds
Historic Travellers Rest's all-inclusive package includes use of the crib Barn (Overton Education Center) and historic Garden and Grounds for up to 12 hours on the day of rental. This option includes chairs and tables for use inside the crib Barn with your choice of round or rectangle tables. The indoor maximum in the Barn for a sit-down dinner with place settings is 125 guests; building maximum if not using place settings is 150 guests (totals must include all staff and renter/renter representatives). Additional guests exceeding the 150 guest limit have to rent a tent to use in our outdoor area for a total maximum of 300 guests.
Package 2. Barn (Overton Education Center)
Fashioned after a 19th century crib barn with ceilings boasting up to 20', our state of the art event center is the perfect venue to stage any special event. This package includes use of the barn, which will include set/up and pickup time, tables and chairs for use in the barn. The indoor maximum in the Barn for a sit-down dinner with place settings is 125 guests; building maximum if not using place settings is 150 guests (totals must include all staff and renter/renter representatives). Additional guests exceeding the 150 guest limit have to rent a tent to use in our outdoor area for a total maximum of 300 guests.
Package 3. Garden and Grounds
Our naturally-beautiful and highly desired Garden and Grounds will be a perfect backdrop for making your own historic event. This package includes use of the grounds for up to 12 hours on the day of rental. set-up and pickup time included. Maximum 150 quests.

Established in 1799, the front entrance of the historic home sets the tone for a tranquil backdrop that allows you to be the focal point of the event. This grassy area of the grounds
provides room for seating of up to 300.

Historic Travellers Rest Plantation boasts a beautiful formal garden that sits alongside the gallery of the home and includes a magnificently colorful array of Southern plantings. The interior of the garden is perfect for intimate gatherings of up to 75, while the grassy areas adjacent to the garden can hold up to 200.
